These recipes are absolutely delicious and so easy! It makes your kitchen smell absolutely fabulous when cooking! I found it very hard to wait the alotted time to try these - and they were definitely better than anything you get at the store!

Vanilla Coconut Vodka

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups vodka
  • 1 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons coconut extract
  • 1 vanilla bean -or- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  2. Pour vodka and flavored extracts into the room temperature mixture. Pour the liquor into a sealable decanter; seal and store for at least two weeks before serving.

Coconut Rum

Ingredients:

  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups rum
  • 2 tablespoons coconut extract
  • 1/2 vanilla bean -or- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  2. Pour rum, coconut extract and vanilla bean into the room temperature mixture. Pour the liquor into a sealable decanter; seal and store for at least two weeks before serving.

Coconut Liqueur

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups packaged coconut*
  • 8 coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups vodka
  • 1 cup brandy

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients together and steep for 3-4 weeks, turning jar every few days.
  2. Thoroughly strain and filter the mixture into a sealable decanter.

* Natural coconut may also be used, but tends to be watery and requires more coconut.
